Studied For 12 Hours
As a general rule of thumb, most professors suggest that college students spend about two hours studying per week for each credit hour they take.
Yes I have studied for 17hrs at a stretch for many days. Beniqno lukisan surga mp3.
These events happened in 2007 when I started studying for my GATE(Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering) exams for M.Tech entrance. This was what happened.
June 5, 2007 my B.E. final exam got over. From June 6 morning I took my books and went to a library near my house which had desks and chairs and started studying.I maintained a diary on how many hours I study. On June 6, I studied 3 hrs.Gradually I started increasing the number of hours I studied. In June it was 3-4 hrs. July, August it was 6-7 hrs. September it was around 10hrs.I had begun to develop a regular routine. Go to library in the morning. Come home for lunch. Go again to the library. Study till dinner and come back.By October I had started studying 10-11 hrs regularly.October 28, 2007 was probably the most important day of my life. It was the turning point. As I was studying everyday I was also giving test series every alternate Sunday. On that day my scores were very low. I went back to the library and started studying. Suddenly I saw drops of tears on my book. I was crying. I was sad. What if all my efforts are in vain. I had also rejected a job offer. But my friend consoled me saying he himself had braved adversities where he had cleared 4-6 back papers in engineering. He told me i am sincere and can do it. I got a steel determination to succeed now. From that day onward I started studying crazily. From October 28,2007 to Feb 9, 2008 i have studied on an average 18hrs a day. Even on Sundays. Even on festivals. I was in THE ZONE. Crazy, motivated, determined. I went to the library even after dinner. Seeing me in the library for almost the entire day, the owner gave me the key saying close the shutter when you leave at night. I was the first to arrive and the last to leave the library. If I remember correctly on January 9, 2008 I studied for 19hrs and 10 minutes. So for 108 days from October 28,2007 to Feb 9 2008, I studied on an average 18hrs a day. I tell people it's a world record :)
12 Hours Movie
From my experience :
Build it up. You cannot study 17hrs from today itself if you are not used to it. Gradually build it up. I gradually increased from 3 hrs a day in June to 5, to 8 to 10 then the crazy phase of 18hrs from October 28.Why do you want to study 17hrs a day? Answer this question to yourself. Studying more will not necessarily fetch you more marks. Honestly I studied because I had no job. Ass on fire had to clear this exam. Also no one believed in me. I was an average student in engineering. Guess I had to prove it to myself!Crazy. Yup you really have to be crazy to study so much. I was and maybe still am. I didn’t see the balcony of my house for 4 months. I never talked to anyone more than a few words. no friends. No social life. I just studied, ate food, slept bath and wash nothing else.Be ready to face people who make fun of you or question or scold you. My mom started crying thinking her son has gone crazy studying so much. It is ironical because previously she used to cry since I hardly studied. Guess moms are never happy. She actually thought I was possessed by some spirit. Well it was the spirit and fire to succeed!
How it feels to study 17hrs a day
I cant describe that feeling. Once you are deep into it it's addictive like a drug. You feel powerful. People look at you as if you are some divine sage. There were doctors who were studying for their M.D exams in my library. They were astonished to see me almost 24/7. They came to wish me the day before the exam. I was also introduced to the local M.L.A who built the libraryWell those were the most beautiful days of my life which i will always cherish. I would like to end the answer with what I felt on the day before my exam. When people told me and I realized I no longer have to study once the exam would be over, I WEPT. Yes I cried a lot. Those books I read were no longer papers and stationery but were an essential part of my life My Family, they became an in-built part of me, my soul. I never wanted to be away from them.
This is how it feels studying 17hrs a day over a long stretch of time!
