Many small business setups rely on a central server for data storage, printing and other office tasks. Because these computers are so important in day to day operations, it's important to keep them running at their best. One way to do this is by uninstalling unneeded programs, such as Macromedia Projector. This program was built as a standalone player for Flash files. In order to uninstall Projector, you'll need to uninstall the entire Adobe Flash package. This can easily be done by using Adobe's Flash uninstaller program.

1.

Open a Web browser and navigate to the Adobe Flash Player support website (see Resources).

2.

Click the 'uninstaller.exe' link in the 'Download the uninstaller for Flash Player' section to download the uninstaller. You can also right-click and select 'Save File As' to save the file to an easy to remember location, such as your desktop.

3.

Exit out of all Web browsers and any other programs that may be using Flash.

4.

Double-click on the uninstaller. Follow any prompts as needed for installation.

5.

Click the Start button and then 'Run.' Paste the following into the 'Run' window:

C:Windowssystem32MacromedFlash

Delete any files or folders in the directory. Repeat this process for the following locations:

C:WindowsSysWOW64MacromedFlash %appdata%AdobeFlash Player %appdata%MacromediaFlash Player

7.

Visit the Adobe Support page (see Resources) with your browser to verify that Flash and Projector have been removed.
