Only recently this caught my Attention.
Every time I do this certain Voice the Sounds Starts to Crackle for no Apparent reason.
Example Video with Problem present.

Here is an older Video recorded in OBS Classic 1 Year ago, the Problem was not present there! (Same mic!)

This is NOT caused by my Mic!
When I record the same Mic with Audacity, the crackling is not present at all (verified with the help of a audiophile friend and his ears.)
I initially thought it is my Mic so I bought a new one that was 3-4x Times as expensive (but both USB Mic's)
And the same Problem occurred.
No issue in Audacity.
Crackling in OBS recording.(Verified by the ears of a audiophile friend.)
And yes, I tried different USB Ports. But I have to admit I used USB 3.0 Ports and no 2.0.
The mic's are:

Any Idea what could cause this issue in OBS Studio?
Hello,
I recently switched from OBS to OBS-M. Since making the change, I've had a major issue with a very obnoxious crackling/popping sound in my recorded audio. I had this same issue in OBS, but it was remedied by adjusting my noise gate to be less restrictive. No such luck in OBS-M.
I have no problem in Audacity or Skype, so I know the problem isn't with the hardware.
I'm using OBS 0.12.3 for Windows. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. I'm using a Logitech G930 wireless gaming headset with USB receiver.
An example is this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohe1P3iqXO4
(NOTE: This video is unlisted because I know it has several quality issues beside the audio... but I've had the same problem with later recordings with several other different games.)
I should also note, I'm only using OBS to record. I'm not streaming.
I've attached my log below.
Any help is appreciated. I love open source software and was very happy with the original OBS. I really like the multi-track recording in OBS-M and don't want to go back to the single audio track.
Thanks!
~ Gideon

Audacity Crackling Noise When Recording

The other is using a MAC and there's a crackling sound over his voice throughout the episodes. His recording levels are good so it doesn't. Crackling noise when playback after recording guitar I just bought sonar a week ago and i just started using it and ive been trying to fix this problem but i dont know what it is. This is the problem. I'm recording my guitar and everything is good, but when i play it back to listen. I hear a crackling/popping sound/noise all throughout.

Audacity Remove Peaks

I'm having exactly the same popping/clicking problem. It made me wonder whether I'm recording audio too hot, but that's not the case at all.
